The ‘Hear Her!’ programme is designed for women who want to take the step into politics and is designed to give women all the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to have their voice heard and successfully run for election.
The programme is made up of 3 sessions, with each addressing an important aspect of the journey into elected politics.
Week 1
Session 1 is an introduction to Northern Irish politics. It provides an overview of our political and governmental structures here in Northern Ireland, from local council to the House of Commons. You will also learn all about the important policy issues in Northern Ireland today.
Week 3
Session 2 Is all about getting your political message right. You’ll get a crash course on how to run a good campaign, from the media landscape to canvassing successfully, you’ll leave ready to get out there and win some votes!
