50:50 NI is working to build a more equal and representative political system in Northern Ireland by supporting more women to get involved in politics. We run training, workshops, and events for women who want to stand for election or who simply want to better understand how politics works here.
We also campaign for practical changes that make it easier for women to enter and stay in political life, including tackling online abuse, improving maternity leave and childcare for elected representatives, and making institutions like councils and the Assembly more accessible and welcoming to women.
Countries with more women in politics don’t just deliver better outcomes for women. They tend to be healthier, happier, and more equal societies overall. More women in politics benefits everyone.
